I have a certain opinion, namely that much of the aftermath of the recent oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, which moronic authorities of the United States and Britain have allowed to become so vast and vile, as vast as their minds are small and as vile as their hearts and souls (or vacuum thereof) are vile; that this horrid incident, which has gone on to become the worst on our nation's history, is the fault of those selfsame morons in power. In other words, perhaps not the act or accident itself, but rather it's subsequence, fallout and aftermath-the steps taken (or should I say "not taken") by what passes for authorities in this nation-are conspiratorial at best. This whole event has been allowed to escalate to uncontainable, uncontrollable proportions (ones that no doubt have far-reaching consequences for the inhabitants of that region, that now-sullied region) intentionally. Why? I don't know exactly, but it could have a great deal to do with their hatred of antropogenic (ie manmade) gases that are allegedly destroying the world. Now, I may not be able to answer the query titled "Why?" but I sure as hell can adequately answer the query titled "How?" How, is very simple: This spillage has been allowed to go uncontained through the guises of bureaucracy. That is, every one dicked around forever and ever, while oil spilled and spewed freely and unchecked out of it's fissure. Apparently, according to some reports that I read, equipment and aid from other countries was almost immediately offered, but it was refused. Refused. Why? I guess because of some sort of arrogance on our part; that is, the part of our very, very moronic authorities..people who quite frankly do not seem to have our best interests at heart. Certainly, though they claim, some of them, to care about the environment, they have no problem with destroying, sullying, marring it without compunction. Readily ruining the selfsame earth and biospheres that they supposedly love so much. Hah! It is all part of a vast cabal of hypocrisy...of mendacity...of paying lip-service to anything that is good or interesting. To fleecing the people-those very same people that they are either pledged protect or to defend or to tell the truth to and to upkeep the environments of...yet is any of this being done? No; it isn't. So, there you have it: it may only be my opinion, but much evidence supports it and even if no evidence could be found or reviewed, all you have to do is just look at what happened, what's happening and what will no doubt happen. I guess Florida and other portions of the Southeast are of very little consequence, aren't they? Not to me, they aren't. They may be some sort of general national embarrassment to almost everyone else, but if so, they are only so educationally and stereotypically...not regionally, not physically, not environmentally and certainly not really, not literally. It is sad to see such blunders being perpetrated by our elected officials who then, when questioned about the error, pass the buck, again and again, every time. Yet it would seem that this time, there is more than enough blame to go around. Hopefully there will also be more than enough exposes and instances of whistleblowing to go around, too. We should not be subjected to administrations that are run entirely on the basis of subterfuge and lip-service and that so frequently make deadly mistakes or withhold aid in certain dire situations. Situations that are like the one in GOM (no pun intended, of course...nor really should one be drawn!) Well, that is all that I have to say about that.
(Note: I am not usually this political and often spend time criticizing only social trends, rather than political ones, but this particular one, though not necessarily directly or even indirectly affecting me and mine currently, is still a very awful situation and any and all conspiratorial parallels that can be drawn should be...at least until the completest truth is known-and of course, that will never happen. Yet, I am remain hopeful and am not yet disillusioned. Not yet.)
